back in college bc they had a meeting

the professor i hate -and has a track record of targetting certain students (eg me, and someone else who is in my class in the 2nd year + some people idk but have mutual friends with who iirc had to go to his boss to get him to back off)- was going on abt how the decision was final blah blah blah there's nothing that can be done, then his boss, who was in another meeting, came down and was like 'yea we can get you back in, but you'll be on probation'

the probation lasted like 6 weeks so i think it is done now?

it lowk sucks rn tho & im think im still on the edge of being kicked out again

but ye

also one of my professors (who i like) pointed out that like a lot of my work has a very urban focus- true but a lot of the projects i've done were not able to have an urban focus, my first one was a comic we had 2 weeks on, my second was a live brief where i worked with a charity in a suburb of the town my college is in, and my current is in a medieval Irish village and like i did a bunch of GOOD research (for once) on Irish fashion and weaponry and housing for this period but my character is a naked old witch living in a cave so i can use nout from that (it is period accurate to the woodblock prints tho at least ദ്ദി ꒦ິ꒳꒦ິ ) )

and also he wishes that my sketchbook could look like my personal sketchbook- my personal sketchbook being the one that has like 2 years of school doodles bc i couldnt focus in secondary school (genuinely if i wasnt sleeping, i was drawing)

but idk i dont think i have that kind of time during these new projects for that type of experimentation- i got close in my last year stop motion project but that was last year.

im excited for the FMP, which will be our last project. we dont know the details yet but it seems like the 'we give you like 16 weeks to make whatever u want as long as u got the stuff to back it up' which means I CAN FINALLY FOCUS ON THE TOPIC I LIKE DRAWING ABOUT!! AND i also have plenty of cool books on Internet Archive i can use in my research (and for just like in the project if i decide to use superimposition again and they let me), unless they consider IA to be piracy or smthn

also it would finally give me the chance for that personal sketchbook experimentation
